Requirement:

Petronas –The popular chain of petrol stations and convenience stores in Malaysia were facing the problem of solar heat that came through windows –especially the windows facing south and west. Solar heat is a serious problem for convenience stores, as it can damage merchandise e.g. melted candy and faded labels on boxes and cans. Besides that, customers would also feel uncomfortable and staff would become unproductive. The Management requested a non-reflective clear film with good heat rejection for their stations so that the customers could see through and view the displayed merchandise.

V-KOOL™ 70 was the only film which could reduce heat, and remain crystal-clear i.e. not adding shade to the glass. It rejects up to 94% infra-red heat, 98% ultra violet and allows more than 70% of light transmission.

Results:

With the installation of V-KOOL™ 70 coating at the front of this station, the merchandise displayed is now fully protected from solar heat and the chocolates will not melt anymore. The employees and customers can now enjoy a very comfortable and cooling environment.

After the installation, The Management was very satisfied with the performance and awarded V-KOOL™ 70 for the rest of the nationwide stations.

Requirement:

The Esso Petrol Station is located at Sungai Besi. The management of the station was facing a major problem with the heat. As the Infra-Red heat penetrated the station glass window, the heat from the sun affected the merchandise displayed such as chocolate and also caused discomfort to the customers and employees.

In finding the solution, the management requested for a clear and non-reflective film with good heat rejection capabilities.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel is strategically located in the hub of the city. Being the best 5-stars hotel sitting next to the world’s tallest twin tower- KLCC – comfort is a first priority concern for Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Elegantly designed with glass surrounding half of its exclusive Lounge, Restaurants and Ballroom Foyer, it has a good view of the “Garden of the City”.

The Management of the Mandarin Oriental required a clear film with good heat rejection for the hotel as customers would like to view the garden in a cosy environment at their leisure.

V-KOOL™ 70 was the ideal choice with many proven achievements around the world. It not only provides good heat rejection of up to 94% Infra-Red Heat and 98% Ultra Violet but also allows more than 70% of light transmission.

With the installation of V-KOOL™ 70 coating at the hotel’s Ballroom Foyer and Restaurants, customers could now comfortably enjoy the garden view when sitting at tables by the windows.

Requirement:

The Formula One Racing Circuit is located in Sepang and is the appointed venue / circuit for motor sports racing in Malaysia. Installation areas were in the speaker room and computer room. Both the sites were equipped with huge clear glass panels to enable the operation staff to report and record the racing results through the glass panels. These huge glass panels made the computers and the speakers very sensitive and required frequent check-ups due to great exposure to the sun’s heat. The operation staff also suffered from the scorching heat and glare penetrating through the glass panels.

Results:

The installation of V-KOOL™ 70 coating solved the heat problem. Both the speaker room and the computer room’s working environment were not only being enhanced but the maintenance costs were also greatly reduced!

Requirement:

Sirim Berhad is a government-owned company with the vision to be a world-class corporation of choice for technology and quality. It acts as a catalyst in bringing about national economic dynamism through excellence in technology and international acceptance of Malaysian products and services.

V-KOOL™ 70 coating assisted in solving heat problems in the cafeteria of the building. The cafeteria for SIRIM Berhad is only being utilized during official functions and seminars. The participants suffered a lot from heat due to the polycarbonate roofing. Moreover, the air-conditioning system was insufficient to accommodate the big open areas in the building.

In order to maintain the building’s overall glass windows look, V-KOOL™ 70 coating was the only solution whereby it managed to reject high solar heat. Its crystal-clear attribute did not affect the original structural and design of the building / glass.

Results:

The participants and visitors of Sirim Berhad can now enjoy a cooling atmosphere during their breaks with the same air-conditioning system. Indirectly, the building will save on energy usage in the long run too!

Just before the new Millennium, The management of Standard & Chartered Bank management has decided to upgrade their branches to better look with modern facilities. V-KOOL™ Clear heat control film was recommended by their architect to solve the heat & UV problems in the Subang USJ Branch. The V-KOOL™ Elite was the only choice which could reject up to 94% Infra-Red Heat, 98% Ultra Violet whilst allowing more than 70% of Light Transmission.

Requirement:

TTDI Development is one of the more renowned developers in Malaysia. The headquarters of TTDI Development was shifted to Shah Alam in early 2000. The location of this building was at the corner of a road. The management requested a film that could not only reduce the heat problem but was also non-reflective on both sides. The CEO of TTDI Development strongly recommended V-KOOL™ 70 film to the management because he had experience V-KOOL™ 70 film’s effectiveness with his car.

Requirement:

The living area of this beautiful bungalow is designed with huge clear glass panels for an unobstructed view of the outside scenery. The owner was happy with the view but was concerned about the penetration of heat and glare from the sun through these glass panels. This was because exposure to the solar heat may have a deteriorating effect on the expensive furniture and decorative items placed in the living area. Therefore, the owner specifically requested a clear and non-reflective film coating, which could reject solar heat without affecting the view.
